heykidsGOML Episode 110 - My Father's Music - March 20, 2016

This week on the show we pay tribute to my father, by playing songs he used to listen to on his iPod. My father had battled liver cancer for four years, but past away this February.

He spent his last two days at home in bed under the care of my aunt, my mother and myself. We played his favorite Pandora station for him all day long as we kept him comfortable. We even watched A Christmas Story one last time. (My father would tell anyone who would listen about how he and I would stay up all night watching the movie on Christmas Eve.)

The end came late at night on the second day as he simply and peacefully crossed over. After we took care of all the things you need to take care of I made a CD of his top playlist. I’ll be keeping that in my car forever.

This was not an easy show for me to make, but I hope you enjoy it.
