I never know what music is going to arrive in my inbox. Some days bring better surprises than others, but it's always an adventure. It's the magic of non-commercial radio. But one of the most magical things about doing the show is making connections with some awesome artists. Getting to help people who are trying to swim upstream in the music world. And sometimes.. sometimes.. you get to meet people you loved in your youth. The modern world is awesome like that.
The older I get the stronger my love of punk rock and alternative country grows. As you all know I love all kinds of music.. but give me raw honest music any day of the week. But then again some days a nice keyboard can be fun. What am I trying to say? I dunno. Oh well I'm gonna go take a coffee nap now.
This episode of Hey You Kids GET OFF MY LAWN features new songs from Nehedar, Tanya Donelly, and Pete Yorn. It also features the first installment of a new segment.. Roy Picks with Roy Peak! You've heard Roy on the show for years, but now we are going to let him pick some of the music. Prepare to rock kids.. your mom loves us!
